"Piccola cosmogonia traslocabile" is a photographic series which is part of a wider, long-term project investigating the urban landscape of Central Europe. "Piccola cosmogonia traslocabile" is the core and starting-point of that extensive project because it reveals the few square metres, limited and static, with which I am constantly comparing the object of my investigation: the territory outside my door. If the landscape is only what surrounds my camera and me, the territory is the image I select on the ground glass of my view camera. And the only way to understand my choices when I find myself inside countless possible spaces (and framings) is to study and examine what is contained within my own four walls.
P.S. "Petite cosmogonie portative" is a work by Raymond Queneau in which the author briefly suggests a personal version of the world's creation.
